Once the alarm is received, a call will be made to the base unit to see whether the individual can respond to the call or not. In case there is no response from the individual, then the alarm service will contact the next of kin or neighbors, who have been given authority by the person. They will also contact emergency services to make sure immediate aid is provided to the individual, in case it is needed.
To save time, these telecare services have already been provided with all the information they need, regarding the ailment of the individual, so they can direct the appropriate emergency teams to the location. This has proven to be very efficient in times of mishaps.
